About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site mechanical subject matter expert for all commissioning activities and primary escalation point for technical issues
  • Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and O&M documentation to ensure alignment with design intent
  • Oversee third-party commissioning agents (CxA), including scope development, performance management, and deliverable tracking
  • Coordinate factory witness testing (FWT) for off-site manufactured equipment and validate test procedures
  • Review and approve commissioning documentation including Cx Plans, L2–L5 test scripts, and turnover packages
  • Drive issue identification, troubleshooting, remediation, and formal closure across all commissioning phases
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between construction, engineering, controls, and operations teams
  • Ensure all commissioning activities align with approved plans, safety, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data center commissioning, construction, or critical infrastructure delivery
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Deep knowledge of commissioning levels L1 through L5
  • Hands-on experience with data center cooling and BMS infrastructure
  • Proven experience managing third-party commissioning agents and vendors
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, construction drawings, and test procedures
  • Willingness to travel to project sites (up to 75% travel)
