About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site mechanical subject matter expert for all commissioning activities and primary escalation point for technical issues
- Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and O&M documentation to ensure alignment with design intent
- Oversee third-party commissioning agents (CxA), including scope development, performance management, and deliverable tracking
- Coordinate and oversee Factory Witness Testing (FWT) for off-site manufactured equipment
- Review and approve commissioning documentation including Cx Plans, L2–L5 test scripts, and turnover packages
- Drive issue identification, troubleshooting, remediation, and formal closure across all commissioning phases
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between construction, engineering, controls, and operations teams
- Enforce safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements across all commissioning activities
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data center commissioning, construction, or critical infrastructure delivery
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Deep knowledge of commissioning levels L1 through L5
- Hands-on experience with data center cooling infrastructure and BMS infrastructure
- Proven experience managing third-party commissioning agents and vendors
- Ability to interpret technical documentation including construction drawings and test procedures
- Willingness to travel to project sites (up to 75% travel)
