Staff Commissioning Engineer, Electrical

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site electrical subject matter expert for all commissioning activities
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and O&M documentation
• Oversee third-party commissioning agents (CxA) including scope development and performance management
• Review and validate factory test procedures and oversee Factory Witness Testing (FWT)
• Review and approve commissioning documentation including Cx Plan, L2–L5 test scripts, and turnover packages
• Drive issue identification, troubleshooting, remediation, and formal closure
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between construction, engineering, controls, and operations teams
• Enforce safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data center commissioning, construction, or critical infrastructure delivery
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Deep knowledge of commissioning levels L1 through L5
• Hands-on experience with data center power distribution and EPMS infrastructure
• Proven experience managing third-party commissioning agents
• Ability to interpret technical documentation including single-line diagrams and test procedures
• Willingness to travel to project sites (75% travel)

Preferred Qualifications

• CxA certification
