Staff Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build robust and reliable backend systems capable of handling terabytes of data syncs and billions of events
• Coordinate complex workflows that automate mission-critical go-to-market processes
• Develop infrastructure to handle high-volume form submissions and email delivery to millions of recipients
• Engage directly with customers via Slack to answer questions, fix bugs, and ship features

Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience building robust and reliable backend systems
• Experience with Go, Kafka, Temporal, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and GCP
• Startup mindset with a desire for early ownership in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in-person 5 days/week in San Francisco

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a Series A to C startup that scaled quickly
• Strong track record of side projects, apps, or hackathons
