Responsibilities

• Shape technical strategy and partner with leadership to define the tribe's engineering roadmap
• Lead end-to-end strategic initiatives from ideation to delivery
• Act as a key architect for evolving core services into a scalable, reliable platform
• Drive migrations, deprecations, and technical excellence in performance and cost efficiency
• Improve developer experience by identifying bottlenecks and reducing friction
• Mentor Senior Engineers, Tech Leads, and Engineering Managers
• Own critical technical decisions, including build-vs-buy trade-offs and vendor evaluations

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Python for designing and building production systems
• Solid background in software engineering and large-scale system architecture
• Ability to connect high-level technical strategy with business goals
• Experience driving engineering excellence through RFCs, post-mortems, and quality frameworks
• Proven ability to influence and align multiple teams without formal authority
• Product-minded approach to engineering and technical decision-making
• Experience operating in fast-paced, evolving environments
