Responsibilities

• Support visiting astronomers before, during, and after their observing runs
• Collaborate with engineers and technical staff to maintain, improve, and develop world-class instrumentation
• Provide hands-on telescope and instrument support
• Perform scientific software and data analysis
• Conduct astronomy-related research and contribute to scientific publications
• Dedicate approximately 20% of work time to professional research activities

Requirements

• Experience in astronomy-related research
• Ability to perform scientific software and data analysis
• Capability to provide technical support for telescopes and instruments
