Staff ASIC Digital Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead project bring-up and diagnostics for emulation and prototyping platforms
• Triage and debug complex system-level failures across hardware and FPGA boundaries
• Partner with firmware engineers to unblock development pipelines
• Develop automation, monitoring scripts, and health-check reporting for the emulation farm
• Document debug methodologies and build standardized troubleshooting playbooks

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• 8–15 years of experience in pre-silicon development, hardware verification, or platform bring-up
• Proven experience with large-scale FPGA prototyping platforms (e.g., Synopsys HAPS)
• Mastery of debugging tools such as JTAG, protocol analyzers, and logic analyzers
• Familiarity with hardware emulation architectures like Cadence Palladium or Synopsys ZeBu
• Proficiency in Verilog or SystemVerilog
• Advanced Python scripting skills for tool development and automation
• Ability to write and debug low-level diagnostic or bare-metal code
• Functional understanding of UNIX/Linux and Windows systems administration

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of FPGA synthesis, place-and-route constraints, and clocking strategies
• Expertise in processing and analyzing usage metrics for resource optimization
