Staff ASIC Digital Engineer

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of SoC validation flows, including planning, execution, and closure
• Lead and mentor junior/mid-level engineers on test plans and debug approaches
• Define SoC-level validation strategies and establish sign-off criteria for functional, performance, and power coverage
• Execute pre-silicon and post-silicon validation, including board initialization and processor boot
• Validate complex datapath flows and port scenarios across pre- and post-silicon environments
• Develop firmware, bare-metal tests, and Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL) for SoC validation
• Build and maintain validation infrastructure, including regression automation and lab equipment integration
• Debug SoC issues using JTAG, trace, waveform capture, and performance counters
• Run gate-level simulations and power-aware (UPF/CPF) validation

Requirements

• BE or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 9–13 years of experience in SoC pre-/post-silicon validation and bring-up
• Deep understanding of C and embedded programming
• Experience with hardware/software co-validation methodologies
• Proficiency in SoC verification environments, SystemVerilog (SV), and UVM concepts
• Hands-on experience with DDR and PCIe protocols
• Knowledge of bus protocols such as AXI, AHB, and APB
• Proficiency in Python, Perl, TCL, or Bash for automation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Palladium or other emulation platforms
• Experience with various interfaces including LPDDR, USB, Ethernet, I2C, I3C, and SPI
• Experience with power-aware validation and ATE functional patterns
