Staff Applied Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale recommendation systems using advanced ML, statistical modeling, and deep learning
• Build and operate machine learning models on high-volume data sources for personalization and content understanding
• Develop rapid experimentation workflows to validate hypotheses and measure business impact
• Build agentic AI systems that autonomously tune hyperparameters, improve ranking policies, or orchestrate ML workflows
• Apply LLMs, embeddings, and multimodal generative models for semantic understanding and user preference modeling
• Collaborate with Designers, UX Researchers, and Product Managers to integrate GenAI-driven features into consumer experiences

Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience in ML/Data Science, ideally in large-scale recommendation systems
• Expertise in large-scale ML, collaborative filtering, ranking models, and embeddings
• Proficiency in Python and statistical tools such as NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
• Strong experience with big data ecosystems like Spark and Hadoop
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP/Vertex AI
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (PhD preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or experimenting with LLMs, generative models, and agentic AI workflows
• Expertise in Reinforcement Learning, NLP, and Time Series analysis
• Familiarity with privacy-preserving ML and identity-less ecosystems on iOS and Android
