Staff Android Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop infotainment applications on Android-based OS
• Create modular and scalable software for various products and use cases
• Develop design patterns and libraries to facilitate application development
• Lead software design and collaborate on technical decision making
• Partner with product and UI/UX teams to define application features
• Optimize application performance and resolve bottlenecks
• Perform code reviews and implement CI/CD practices
• Write test code to ensure quality and robustness
• Investigate AOSP codebase for performance and integration improvements
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience in Android application development
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and fundamental C++
• Proficiency in Android and Android Jetpack APIs
• Knowledge of Android NDK and JNI
• Understanding of Android lifecycle and application interface guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Android performance and testing frameworks
• Familiarity with Android framework services
• Experience with multimedia and Bluetooth solutions
• Familiarity with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging
• Prior experience in developing on-vehicle technology
