Staff Android Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve foundational Android infrastructure including modularization, dependency injection, and app lifecycle systems
• Design and deliver shared libraries and frameworks with developer and AI ergonomics as a first-class concern
• Drive Android architecture forward and invent thoughtful platform tech
• Evolve how the Android engineering organization uses AI-assisted development tools
• Identify cross-cutting technical problems and lead architecture and design reviews across team boundaries
• Mentor and grow engineers at all levels to raise the technical ceiling of the Android community
• Partner with product managers and designers to align platform investments with team needs

Requirements

• 10+ years of Android development experience
• Platform or infrastructure builder's mindset
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Proven organizational leadership driving large-scale technical initiatives
• AI-native development practice using AI-assisted tools
• Deep Android expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern architecture patterns
• Strong systems thinking and exceptional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building developer platforms or internal tooling for large organizations
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform
• Background in fintech or high-trust regulated environments
• Experience with mobile experimentation infrastructure or feature flagging
