Staff Analog Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and verify complex analog mixed-signal and integrated power management ICs
• Develop innovative new designs for patenting or protecting as trade secrets
• Participate in product definition, technology selection, and roadmap planning
• Oversee custom layout work and manage layout designers
• Perform transistor-level circuit design and simulate sub-system performance
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership through quantitative analysis
• Support the full design flow from product definition to high-volume manufacturing, including silicon evaluation and debugging

Requirements

• 8+ years of Analog/Power IC design engineering experience
• Advanced knowledge of MOS transistors and analog circuit design
• Expertise in complex AC/DC analysis, including poles, zeros, compensation, and loop dynamics
• Deep understanding of device physics and CMOS/BiCMOS fabrication processes
• Proven experience with complex mixed-signal design problems
• Proficiency with circuit simulation tools, layout verification tools, modeling tools, and UNIX environments
• Experience with end-to-end design flows and production test support

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of high voltage processes and design in BCD or SOI type processes
• Experience with integrated power conversion circuits (DC-DC converters, charge-pumps, LDOs, rectifiers, or amplifiers)
• Advanced MOS device modeling skills (noise, excess thermal noise, DIBL)
• Exceptional laboratory measurement and silicon debugging skills
• Understanding of mixed-signal solutions including discrete-time digital signal processing
