Staff AI Product Designer

Responsibilities

• Architect intuitive AI experiences and user interfaces for Gemini across diverse platforms
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define product strategy and influence cross-functional decisions
• Translate user needs and technical requirements into groundbreaking design solutions
• Apply systems-thinking to design interfaces optimized for AI's probabilistic and multimodal nature
• Create high-fidelity visual designs including layouts, typography, and color palettes
• Design engaging motion and interaction designs using tools like Origami Studio or ProtoPie
• Bridge design and technology by simulating model responses to inform design requirements
• Champion design innovation by staying current on generative AI and NLP trends
• Design for ethical and societal impact to develop responsible AI solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience designing user interfaces for complex software
• Specific experience designing for conversational AI or LLMs
• Robust portfolio showcasing visual, motion, and interaction design for AI-powered interfaces
• Proficiency in designing across web, desktop, and mobile platforms
• Experience guiding cross-functional teams through ideation and iteration
• Ability to create data-driven designs using behavioral data
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and Principle
• Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills
• Experience thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to translate complex AI concepts into user-centered product visions
• Experience prototyping interactive experiences using Figma, ProtoPie, or Framer
• Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience collaborating with user research for AI product evaluation
