Staff AI Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement distributed systems for AI agents to ensure reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency
• Establish testing strategies, observability systems, and CI/CD pipelines
• Mentor a team of engineers and share expertise in building production systems
• Own the technical roadmap for the AI platform and make key architectural decisions
• Collaborate with ML engineers and researchers to productionize AI capabilities

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems in production
• Proven track record of improving system reliability and uptime
• Deep expertise in microservices, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams
• Strong coding skills across the full stack
• Excellence in debugging production issues and implementing observability
• Ability to make pragmatic architectural trade-offs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLM applications, agent frameworks, or AI/ML infrastructure
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG patterns, and vector databases
• Background in high-growth companies or modern engineering cultures
• Experience with multi-model AI systems such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google
