Staff AI/ML Platform Software Architect

Responsibilities

• Enable the Windows AI platform on Snapdragon through the Snapdragon software stack
• Lead teams in running state-of-the-art machine learning solutions on the Snapdragon platform
• Drive AI optimization for Windows on Snapdragon, improving KPIs for performance and accuracy
• Spearhead initiatives to deploy cutting-edge Generative AI models on edge platforms
• Solve complex customer issues in AI application development to lower barriers to entry for developers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class solutions for 3rd party application developers

Requirements

• 8-12 years of experience in AI application development
• Proven experience optimizing models for performance and accuracy on AI hardware accelerators (CPU, GPU, NPU)
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python
• Deep understanding of AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or ONNX Runtime
• Hands-on understanding of Generative AI models (LLM, LVM, LMMs) and concepts like attention, KV caching, and LoRA
• Experience with quantization and deployment of LLMs on edge devices (e.g., GPTQ, SpinQuant)
• Strong software engineering principles and experience architecting software frameworks for complex heterogeneous systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Windows AI platform
• Expertise in Windows ML and MCDM for AI compute
• Understanding of latest LLM architectures such as Mixture of Experts (MoE)
