About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and build core AI architecture spanning multiple product areas
- Set technical standards for evaluation frameworks, testing philosophy, and CI/CD for model behavior
- Resolve systemic engineering gaps proactively across the Core AI team
- Own ambiguous technical problems end-to-end without established playbooks
- Build and ship conversational agents, deep learning models, and personalization systems
- Improve AI/ML services to drive behavior change and metabolic health outcomes
- Raise team technical level through code review and design review
- Partner with product, engineering, and clinical teams to turn goals into technical designs
Requirements
- 8+ years industry experience developing production AI/ML systems
- Deep software engineering fundamentals: testing, CI/CD, system design
- Experience setting org-level technical direction and engineering standards
- Production experience with LLMs, Generative AI, prompt engineering, RAG, and AI evals
- Track record mentoring senior engineers and influencing technical decisions
- Proficiency in Python and defining team best practices
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
