Staff AI Engineer, Robot Learning (Navigation)

Responsibilities

• Develop next-generation learned navigation systems integrating complex spatial reasoning and semantic goals
• Work on open-ended navigation powered by Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models
• Design and scale data pipelines and evaluation frameworks for training large-scale end-to-end learned behaviors
• Architect and deploy highly reliable ML systems for execution on physical hardware
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to productionize large vision-language-action models
• Evaluate new model architectures and multi-agent strategies to guide the embodied AI roadmap

Requirements

• Extensive experience in machine learning for embodied AI
• Proven track record in end-to-end learned behaviors using large models (VLAs, VLMs, transformers, or diffusion)
• Deep production expertise in deploying and optimizing large-scale ML systems
• Strong background in spatial reasoning and semantic goals
• Proficiency in PyTorch and modern tooling for training and deploying foundation models for robotics
• Exceptional experimental and engineering skills for deploying research to physical robots
