algo1 is a VC-backed stealth-mode company building behavioural AI solutions for the retail industry. Their mission is to bring the intelligence of modern machine learning directly to the in-store shopping experience using a clean-slate platform.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement complex, high-impact agentic AI platform solutions
• Drive best practices and enablement for agentic development across the engineering organization
• Establish and maintain robust evaluation (Evals) strategies for LLM agents, focusing on performance, latency, quality, and explainability
• Keep up with the latest developments in models and agent development toolchains
• Manage deployment, scaling, monitoring, and cost-efficiency of agentic applications

Requirements

• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with modern agentic development frameworks (e.g. Pydantic AI)
• Experience designing and implementing complex, multi-step agentic workflows and reasoning capabilities
• Proven ability to design robust evaluation (Evals) strategies for LLM agents
• Expertise in advanced context management, including RAG, memory structures, and context window optimization
• Experience deploying and monitoring agentic applications in production (scaling, OTEL, cost, and token usage)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in backend development and event-driven architecture
• Experience with IoT or Edge-oriented architectures
• Knowledge of retail POS, inventory, or loyalty systems
