Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Provide financial information, analysis, and support to location and corporate management teams
• Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of operating budgets and performance projections
• Perform financial analysis to monitor costs in areas such as volumes, margins, scrap, utilities, labor, and inventory
• Analyze plant income statements and inventory transactions to drive continuous improvement
• Execute daily, weekly, and month-end activities to ensure a timely close process
• Maintain the general ledger, transaction processing, and monthly/annual account reconciliations
• Assist with project invoicing and detailed job cost reporting using Visual ERP and Excel
• Coordinate with HR on payroll activity and participate in annual physical inventory processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of accounting or finance experience with general ledger responsibilities
• Experience in a manufacturing environment or similar
• Proficiency in analyzing accounting records for accuracy and GAAP conformance
• Experience with monthly closing and preparing financial statements
• Strong aptitude in ERP systems and MS Office applications
