Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statements
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining comprehensive supporting documentation
• Perform balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations and resolve any reconciling items
• Reconcile revenue and related accounts across multiple merchandising channels, including Retail, E-commerce, Tour, and Supply
• Review general ledger activity to ensure all transactions comply with company policy
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and ad hoc analyses to support business decisions
• Investigate account variances and unusual activity, escalating issues and recommending corrective actions
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information for close, reporting, and audit support

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–2 years of professional accounting experience, including month-end close support
• Proven experience performing account reconciliations and general ledger activities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, BW, BPC)
• Experience supporting multi-channel revenue accounting (Retail, E-commerce, Tour, and/or Supply)
• Prior experience in a consumer products, retail, or merchandising environment
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to audits and the preparation of audit support schedules
• Experience in a process improvement mindset to enhance financial workflows
