Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash reconciliation of bank accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare weekly cash position reports and assist with cash flow forecasting
• Ensure revenue recognition complies with GAAP (ASC 606)
• Record and reconcile daily revenue transactions across all channels
• Prepare and post monthly revenue journal entries, accruals, and deferrals
• Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue and accounts receivable subledgers
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain documentation to support internal and external audits
• Identify opportunities to streamline revenue and cash reconciliation processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in revenue or cash
• Solid understanding of GAAP and ASC 606
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle)

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA candidate or CPA license
