Staff Accountant - SEC Reporting

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules, tie-out documentation, and financial statement workpapers for quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K)
• Prepare audit support schedules and respond to internal and external auditor requests
• Support the preparation of interim and annual disclosure checklists and supplemental schedules
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and journal entries for the financial close process
• Assist in research and documentation of technical accounting matters and ASC guidance memos
• Monitor new GAAP pronouncements and SEC regulatory updates
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate information for financial disclosures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 1–3 years of experience in public accounting or SEC reporting at a public company
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work in the office daily

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in accounting
• CPA license or actively pursuing CPA licensure
• Big 4 or national firm experience
• Knowledge of Workiva
