Staff Accountant - SEC Reporting

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules, tie-out documentation, and financial statement workpapers for quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K)
• Prepare audit support schedules and respond to internal and external auditor requests
• Support the preparation of interim and annual disclosure checklists and supplemental schedules
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and journal entries in support of the financial close process
• Assist in the research and initial documentation of technical accounting matters and ASC guidance
• Monitor new GAAP pronouncements and SEC regulatory updates
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate information for financial disclosures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required
• 1–3 years of experience in public accounting and/or SEC reporting at a publicly traded company
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office applications
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to work in the office daily

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA license or actively pursuing CPA licensure
• Master's degree in accounting
• Experience at a Big 4 or national accounting firm
• Knowledge of Workiva
