Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Maintain the general ledger and perform monthly reconciliations
• Ensure strict compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
• Strengthen internal controls to safeguard institutional resources and assets
• Perform proactive budget variance analysis to support leadership decision-making
• Leverage ERP systems to design and implement scalable financial workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Demonstrated understanding of GAAP and double-entry bookkeeping
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within schools, athletics programs, or nonprofit organizations
• Experience in a startup environment or a small, growing team requiring role flexibility
