Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Perform account reconciliations for bank, cash, and general ledger accounts
• Analyze financial data and investigate account variances
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes
• Maintain supporting documentation for audit purposes
• Monitor compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proficient in Excel
• Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

• High level of accuracy in data entry and reconciliations
• Ability to investigate variances and strong problem-solving skills
• Takes responsibility for assigned accounts and follows through on open items
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and ability to learn new systems quickly
