Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements including Statutory, GAAP, and Consolidated reporting
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements
• Support reinsurance functions including GL reconciliation and database maintenance
• Prepare state and regulatory filings including premium and income tax returns
• Generate monthly general ledger journal entries and settlements for underwriting programs
• Coordinate information for financial and regulatory audits
• Support the annual budget process
• Reconcile general ledger and clearing accounts

Requirements

• Minimum five years of accounting experience
• Experience in property and casualty insurance or a TPA environment preferred
• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting
