Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Review funding and sales related reconciliations of various data points and accounts in the general ledger
• Ensure accuracy of recorded financial transactions and compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
• Perform daily investor purchase and funding reconciliations
• Manage daily loan fundings including advanced funding schedules and wire disbursements
• Record company card reconciliation and general ledger entries
• Prepare daily cash and warehouse bank reconciliations
• Process wire transfers and accounts payable
• Perform ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of mortgage banking experience preferred
• Understanding of GAAP and control requirements for financial services companies
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to produce, administer, and review reconciliation processes
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
