Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day property accounting functions including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reporting packages, and CAM reconciliations
• Prepare direct bills, late fees, and one-time charges for tenants
• Maintain accurate aging reports and review cash receipts for completeness
• Review accounts payable for accuracy and correspond with third-party property managers
• Assist with yearly budget preparation and yearly CAM reconciliations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred, ideally in a high-volume environment
• Strong knowledge of accounting entries, analysis, and interpretation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills required
• Ability to multi-task, meet challenging deadlines, and exercise professional judgment

• Experience using Yardi
• Experience using AvidXchange
