About the role
Responsibilities
- Care for horses to protect their health and improve their appearance
- Manage feeding, watering, supplements, and basic equine first aid
- Handle horse turnout and bring-in procedures
- Clean and bed stalls on a daily basis
- Maintain facility cleanliness and neatness at all times
- Maintain facility equipment, vehicles, and service records
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Use tractors with attachments for field, arena, and grounds maintenance
- Perform landscaping duties including weeding, planting, mowing, and shoveling
- Assist with the supervision and training of student workers
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of experience handling horses
- Valid Ohio Driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Proficiency in verbal and written English
- Ability to work in dusty environments and various weather conditions
