SSOMA Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Meet safety, health, and environmental goals and indicators to ensure safe activities
• Conduct monthly safety, health, and environmental meetings with various areas and contractors
• Provide training and coaching in safety, health, and environment (defensive driving, work at heights, confined spaces, etc.)
• Organize emergency drills to prepare personnel for critical situations
• Execute SSOMA inspections to detect improvement opportunities for the management system
• Perform internal SSOMA audits to verify compliance with management tools
• Review and validate IPERC matrices (hazard and risk identification)
• Respond to emergencies related to hazardous materials
• Ensure compliance with SSOMA induction for new and existing personnel
• Verify compliance with APR (preliminary risk analysis) tools

Requirements

• Degree and professional license (active) in Safety Engineering, Mining, or related fields
• Over 5 years of experience in safety and environment within construction, pre-commissioning, and mechanical/electrical/instrumentation commissioning
• 5 years of experience in the Construction, Energy, and Mining sectors
• 3 years of experience in supervision roles related to Safety/Environment in mechanical maintenance or predictive maintenance/lubrication for mine or plant equipment
• Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 9001:2018, ISO 45001:2018, and OHSAS 18001
• Knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Management in mining units
• Must reside in Arequipa
