About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-FEED planning and technical support for personnel safety, security, health, and emergency response.
- Develop Project SSHE Plans and support the implementation of working procedures such as confined space entry, work permitting, and electrical isolation.
- Lead or participate in administrative processes including toolbox talks, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Last Minute Risk Assessments (LMRA).
- Provide SSH/OIMS guidance to functional and project teams based on corporate expectations.
- Support contractor management, including contract language development, selection, and monitoring.
- Perform surveillance during project execution to ensure compliance with key safety and management system expectations.
- Support incident investigations and share best practices and learnings across projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (preferably in Safety or Health).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.
- Expertise in Safety, Security, or Health disciplines.
- Willingness to travel for business trips and periodically relocate to project locations.
- High degree of ethical conduct.
Preferred Qualifications
- Safety certifications such as CSP or NEBOSH.
- Familiarity with Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) concepts and IOGP Start Work Checks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong business perspective.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
