Sr./Staff Software Engineer (Data Team)

Responsibilities

• Build the Capability Factory, an internal platform for teaching robots new skills at scale
• Curate, preprocess, and manage large-scale datasets for humanoid robot training
• Design and operate highly scalable data pipelines and compute infrastructure
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of training data across projects
• Collaborate with machine learning teams to streamline MLOps and evaluation workflows
• Build data warehouse solutions and BI dashboards for organizational visibility
• Establish best practices for data management, versioning, and security

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with end-to-end system ownership
• Strong backend engineering skills including API design and data modeling
• Experience with data engineering at petabyte scale
• Proficiency in workflow orchestration and distributed systems fundamentals
• Fluency in cloud infrastructure and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Full-stack capability to build both backend and frontend for internal products
• Production ownership mindset with experience in incident triage and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• ML infrastructure or MLOps experience
• Experience with distributed compute frameworks
• Domain knowledge in robotics or embodied AI
• Experience with BI and data warehouse tools
• Frontend product sense for internal tooling
