SRE/Network Engineer (MAAS)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support core infrastructure systems with deep knowledge of Linux (Debian/Ubuntu).
• Manage hardware-level operations including BIOS, IPMI, RAID setups, and hardware diagnostics.
• Design and maintain scalable networks using VLANs, L2/L3 routing, VPNs, and UniFi equipment.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operations using Ansible, Bash/Python, and Git-based workflows.
• Build tooling for server discovery, automated OS deployments, and strong MAAS-based provisioning.
• Set up and manage observability stacks including Prometheus, Grafana, and log centralization tools like Graylog or ELK.
• Deploy and maintain virtualization and orchestration systems such as OpenStack, Proxmox VE, or VMware ESXi.
• Integrate internal APIs for tracking compute and GPU resource allocation.

Requirements

• Expert-level Linux administration (preferably Debian/Ubuntu).
• Mandatory experience with MAAS, Ironic, or bare-metal automation.
• Strong networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, and VPNs.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible) and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/Graylog.
• Proven experience with OpenStack, Proxmox, or VMware.
• Proficiency with custom deployment automation like PXE, Preseed, or Cloud-init.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a startup or hyper-growth environment.
• Familiarity with firewall rules, access control, and security policies.
• Experience with Cloudflare API for DNS management and tunnel setups.
• Exposure to IT asset management or software license tracking.
