SRE Observability Technical Lead - Vice President

Responsibilities

• Lead observability strategy and delivery for critical global payment services
• Build scalable telemetry, dashboards, and end-to-end monitoring for key production flows
• Define and implement SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and alerting standards
• Reduce toil by improving monitoring, automation, and incident workflows
• Partner with SREs, developers, platform teams, and central infrastructure groups to drive adoption
• Support observability across on-prem, cloud, and containerized environments
• Evaluate and apply modern observability capabilities, including AI/ML-driven insights

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience in SRE, observability engineering, or platform infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, ELK, or Splunk
• Strong understanding of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and telemetry best practices
• Experience supporting hybrid platforms, including on-prem, AWS/GCP, and Kubernetes or ECS
• Ability to troubleshoot integration issues and communicate effectively across teams
• Familiarity with agile systems development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building observability solutions for payments or other critical business services
• Knowledge of trace correlation, baselining, and alert tuning
• Exposure to enterprise tooling ecosystems and vendor platform evaluation
• Experience in enablement or central platform teams
• Interest in AI-assisted operations and remediation use cases
