About the role
Responsibilities
- Reduce risk to global IT infrastructure by executing and improving the Vulnerability Management Program using a risk-based approach.
- Analyze vulnerability scan results, assess enterprise risk, and coordinate remediation with infrastructure and application teams.
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point for vulnerability-related security tickets and provide guidance on prioritization.
- Design, operate, and maintain vulnerability scanning and assessment infrastructure to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Drive automation and integration efforts to improve the efficiency and scalability of vulnerability detection and reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure effective remediation, policy compliance, and continuous improvement of security controls.
- Mentor and coach junior staff, documenting standards and sharing deep technical knowledge.
Requirements
- 5+ years in information security, or 3 years in security plus 2–3 years in core IT roles (system or network administration).
- Expert-level experience with vulnerability management and cloud/SaaS security tooling (e.g., Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, Wiz).
- Strong Python scripting and automation skills for security operations and data analysis.
- Solid background in Linux/Unix and Windows environments, including Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Security stack (Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps, etc.).
- At least 2 years of experience in vulnerability monitoring, threat detection, or incident response.
- Availability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Information security certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GPEN, Security+, CEH, or LPT.
- Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence for workflow design and automation.
- Experience creating reporting visualizations using Power BI, Sigma, or Snowflake.
- Proven ability to leverage AI tooling to solve problems creatively and efficiently.
