About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and support global machine vision applications, scanning technologies, and standards to drive manufacturing automation.
  • Design robust vision applications for error proofing, robot guidance, and part quality.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineering and regional execution teams to gather requirements and improve solutions.
  • Specify vision system components, functional requirements, and integration methods.
  • Provide on-site and remote support for startup, troubleshooting, reprogramming, and diagnostics.
  • Evaluate and validate new vision technologies and investigate industry trends in vision AI.
  • Develop training and documentation for global deployment of standard vision systems.
  • Mentor students and new hires while driving systemic issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive technical knowledge in machine vision.
  • Strong technical knowledge of robotics, AI, and automation processing.
  • Extensive experience with Zebra (Matrox), Keyence, Photoneo, or related vision technologies.
  • Proven experience developing and integrating vision applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex vision-related issues and manage multiple complex assignments autonomously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AIA Certified Vision Professional (Basic or Advanced).
  • 10+ years of experience in the design, build, and startup of manufacturing systems.
  • Programming knowledge in C++ and Python.
  • Experience with ROS/ROS2, NVIDIA Isaac, or Omniverse.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and virtual commissioning.
  • Experience with Teamcenter or Siemens Technomatix Process Simulate.
