Sr. Underwriter, Energy Property

Responsibilities

• Review applications and financial requirements to determine risk acceptability in accordance with company guidelines
• Utilize pricing components, rating methodologies, and tools to price risks based on exposures and analysis
• Demonstrate technical underwriting skills through thorough account reviews and file documentation
• Prepare quotes for new and renewal business while providing exemplary service to brokers
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and territory insurance issues, trends, and regulations

Requirements

• 5-8 years of Energy underwriting experience
• Proven experience underwriting, quoting, and binding profitable business
• Experience working with large brokerage houses and specialty retailers
• Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
