About the role
Responsibilities
- Achieve coverage, frequency, and sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Serve as a technical expert on assigned products and therapeutic classes to educate and influence key physicians and community members.
- Act as a mentor for junior staff and fulfill regional training roles to develop team skills.
- Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events, and other external expenditures.
- Collaborate with Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, and Marketing on cross-functional projects.
- Proactively identify market issues and opportunities, presenting recommendations to management.
- Ensure all activities operate in strict compliance with commercial policies and applicable pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
Requirements
- BA or BS degree.
- 6+ years of relevant sales experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- 4+ years of experience in specialty sales or a relevant therapeutic area.
- Mandatory country-specific pharmaceutical sales certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience specifically as a Therapeutic Specialist.
- Proven track record of success in highly competitive markets.
- Strong influencing, negotiating, and scientific communication skills.
