Sr. Technician, Battery Build

Responsibilities

• Lead assembly and teardown of HV battery modules and packs, including cell integration, busbar, coolant systems, and enclosure sealing
• Support validation and lifecycle tests using automation systems, CAN-based tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment
• Analyze test data and troubleshoot complex issues to provide feedback to engineering for design and process improvements
• Investigate and resolve high-priority HV battery concerns in support of R&D teams
• Mentor and train junior technicians to ensure adherence to safety and best practices
• Identify and implement improvements across build and test processes to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in automotive, EV, or HV battery systems as a technician
• Associate’s degree in a technical field, ASE certification, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in HV battery assembly, electrical diagnostics, and CAN communication
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Ability to work varied shifts and travel up to approximately 20%

• High voltage (HV) certification
