Sr. Technical Services Application Scientist

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding technical support to customers regarding assays, reagents, and consumables.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts through root cause investigation, experiment design, study execution, and data analysis.
• Conduct bench-level experiments and prepare detailed technical reports and protocols.
• Collaborate with Development and Marketing teams to provide technical input for new product implementation and design.
• Communicate customer feedback to developmental teams to improve existing and future products.
• Draft technical service bulletins and customer notifications.
• Assist with metrics tracking to monitor team performance and product quality.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a life sciences field (or Master’s with 2 years of industry experience, or Bachelor’s with 4 years of industry experience).
• 3+ years of experience in the life sciences industry.
• 3+ years of experience analyzing data using Microsoft Excel or JMP.
• 2+ years of experience in a molecular diagnostics or clinical laboratory setting.
• Professional knowledge of molecular biology techniques and Real-Time-PCR Assays.
• Strong understanding of statistical and mathematical methods in biology or genetics.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a regulated medical device environment (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA GMP, or USDA).
• Experience working within Quality System Regulations and service requirements.
• 1+ year of experience in a technical support function.
• Experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).
• Background in laboratory chemistry.
