Sr Technical Advisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a group of engineers, providing technical direction and conducting performance appraisals.
• Develop Process Design Basis, Design Philosophies, and oversee the development of PFDs, PSFDs, P&IDs, and C&EDs.
• Perform and guide process simulations, heat and mass balance development, and routine process calculations.
• Manage equipment design for separators, pumps, compressors, gas treatment units, fired heaters, and heat exchangers.
• Oversee utility balance, steam balance, and compressor hydraulics.
• Perform relief valve and flare load calculations.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to performance guarantees and vendor package scopes.
• Evaluate vendor, consultant, and licensor offers for process packages and specialized engineering studies.
• Coordinate planning, scheduling, and multidisciplinary engineering efforts to execute projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 20 to 25 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in process engineering software including HYSYS, Flarenet, Pipenet, and Pipesim.
• Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore, or Utilities & Offsites industries.
• Strong knowledge of safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the engineering and design of facilities involving Fired Heaters, Heat Exchangers, and Columns.
• Knowledge of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and operations.
