Sr-Team Lead - Media and Sterilization

Responsibilities

• Lead people, technology, and financial resources to manage media preparation, inventory control, and sterilization processes
• Identify and develop innovative concepts for process or product improvements
• Oversee and manage multiple projects and ongoing work activities ensuring compliance with cGMP documentation
• Manage the entire Media Management Program, including media preparation and Growth Promotion Testing
• Oversee the management of sterilizers as part of comprehensive laboratory operations
• Provide technical expertise and support for laboratory and core applications
• Recognize and address development needs to create growth opportunities for colleagues

Requirements

• MSC in microbiology or biotechnology
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience
• Proven experience in leadership and project management
• Deep understanding of cGMP compliance requirements for Quality Control Laboratories
• Proficiency with Quality Control Microbiology instruments and methodologies
• Expertise in Microbiology Equipment Qualifications (e.g., Steam Sterilizers, Cooling Cabinets, Incubators)
• Technical expertise in USP Monographs and General Chapters

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) such as GLIMS and Microsoft Office
• Solid understanding of method qualification and testing of components and finished products
• Experience in microbiological risk assessments
• Experience using AI tools, such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and productivity
