About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead high-visibility network implementation projects from initial design through activation and support
- Configure and deploy Cisco routers and switches across a global WAN infrastructure
- Manage WAN circuit activations and troubleshoot complex network issues with field technicians
- Coordinate procurement, shipment, and export compliance of network equipment to global sites
- Create detailed cutover plans and maintain critical network documentation and diagrams
- Participate in a Level 3 on-call rotation to support mission-critical escalations
Requirements
- STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (or Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience)
- 3+ years of experience configuring Cisco routers and switches in a production WAN environment
- Expertise in BGP routing and building router configurations using templates
- Experience with NAT, VPNs (Site-to-Site, DMVPN), and WAN technologies such as MPLS, DSL, or Cellular
- Proven ability to troubleshoot network issues and isolate root causes
- CCNA certification is required
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNP certification
- Experience implementing WAN connectivity in enterprise or service provider environments
- Exposure to LTE cellular backup solutions and Cisco ASA firewall configuration
- Experience working within large-scale or mission-critical networks
