Sr. Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Mentor a team of Junior and Systems Engineers
• Perform IT Support services to users onsite
• Use a ticketing system to manage support queries
• Maintain documentation and comply with organizational rules and guidelines
• Adhere to strict change control procedures

Requirements

• 3 or more years of IT experience in Desktop Support, Systems Engineering, or Systems Administration
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and mobile device troubleshooting
• Significant experience with Microsoft 365 stack (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Azure AD)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Platforms, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Understanding of virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, LAN/DMZ/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching, and Firewalls
• Experience with endpoint threat management (e.g., Sophos)
• Ability to support workloads in Azure
• Experience with enterprise networking equipment (Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti)
• Experience working in an MSP environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing stairs and crouching

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial industry experience with Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters, FactSet, or CapIQ
• Experience with ConnectWise suite of products
• Experience with Google Workspace, Box, Dropbox, Duo, Okta, or AirWatch
• Experience with Citrix XenApp
• Experience with cybersecurity solutions like Carbon Black, Cylance, Crowdstrike, or Cyberhat
• Experience with mail security gateways like Mimecast, IronPort, or Proofpoint
• Knowledge of storage platforms such as Nimble, Pure Storage, NetApp, or EMC
• Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell or Infrastructure as Code tools
