Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager - Technology

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for telecommunications, network services, cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and enterprise architecture.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including RFI/RFP processes, competitive bidding, and supplier selection.
• Structure and negotiate complex contracts, MSAs, licensing agreements, and SLAs for large-scale technology programs.
• Partner with IT, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Legal, and Finance teams to align sourcing with technical roadmaps.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, vendor consolidation, and total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction.
• Manage supplier performance through governance programs, QBRs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor market intelligence, technology trends, and emerging providers to inform procurement strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, information technology, or engineering.
• 8+ years of indirect sourcing or technology procurement experience, specifically within telecom, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Deep experience negotiating with cloud service vendors such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of technology architecture and interconnected enterprise dependencies.
• Knowledge of telecom and network technologies including SD-WAN, UCaaS, 5G, and MPLS.
• Proficiency with e-sourcing platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or Ivalua.
• Proven track record of driving large-scale RFPs and managing complex, multi-layered technology contracts.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
• Familiarity with enterprise cybersecurity and risk frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001.
• Experience supporting IT transformation, cloud migration, and telecom modernization programs.
