Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager (Hardware)

About the Company

DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash working on building autonomous delivery robots from the ground-up and other automation solutions as part of DoorDash's core delivery platform.

Responsibilities

• Program manage development, testing, validation, and manufacturing of mechanical, electrical, and electronic robotics hardware
• Lead hardware projects from product requirements or engineering concept to public roads driving
• Work with robotics hardware, software, autonomy, and operations teams to solve technical autonomous vehicle problems
• Plan, track, and resolve issues across Hardware, Software, Firmware, Controls, Autonomy, and Ops
• Manage domestic and international vendor relationships for prototyping and mass production

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in engineering (robotics, mechanical, electrical, or computer science)
• 8+ years of industry experience in engineering and program management
• Experience with software and hardware development processes
• Experience taking hardware from requirements to mass production (consumer or automotive electronics)
• Track record of managing complex, cross-functional programs
• Understanding of vehicle mechanicals, electronics, firmware, and software interplay
• Knowledge of autonomous vehicle sensor and compute systems
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet/MS Project, and Google Workspace
