Sr Staff Systems & Applications Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition of next-generation power products and product family roadmaps.
• Identify market opportunities and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Business Division management.
• Provide deep technical support and training to customers and field sales staff to facilitate product design-in.
• Translate customer requirements and device-level use cases into detailed product specifications and design documents.
• Perform physical silicon device evaluation at the board level and participate in FPGA-based design prototyping.
• Support technical troubleshooting, circuit design reviews, and field return analysis.
• Guide staff in the creation of Applications Validation Plans to ensure comprehensive coverage of corner cases.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the power management space, ideally within semiconductor companies.
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in lab debugging, probing, and characterizing circuits and silicon using standard equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
• Expertise in board-level analog and digital circuit design, including PCB schematic and layout.
• Strong programming proficiency in C and Python.
• Deep understanding of control loop theory and its application in power converters.
• Proficiency with PCB CAD tools and circuit simulators like SIMPLIS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FEA tools for thermal, electrical, and magnetic investigations.
• Knowledge of AECQ, IATF, or ISO26262 (FuSa) standards.
• Experience with automation of lab testing and data analysis using Excel or JMP.
