Sr Staff Strategic Planning Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead internal sustainability projects and initiatives, including monitoring progress and managing effects (e.g., SSBJ, MSA).
• Support the planning and promotion of sustainability strategies, materiality, KPIs, and risk management.
• Evaluate, analyze, and report on the company's ESG performance.
• Drive improvement measures to enhance ratings from ESG evaluation agencies such as MSCI, FTSE, DJSI, and Sustainalytics.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to drive project success.
• Research and analyze the latest trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the sustainability and ESG sectors.

Requirements

• Knowledge of sustainability disclosure frameworks and regulations, including GRI, SASB, and CSRD.
• Practical experience or knowledge regarding ESG evaluations (MSCI, FTSE, DJSI, Sustainalytics, etc.).
• Expertise in sustainability disclosure, integrated reporting, and impact assessment.
• Strong logical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail for external disclosures.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Business-level communication skills in both Japanese and English.
• Proven experience leading projects involving multiple departments and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience responding to ESG assessments such as EcoVadis, CDP, S&P Global CSA, or MSCI.
• Deep knowledge of frameworks including ISSB, TCFD, and the Modern Slavery Act.
• Professional experience within the semiconductor, electronics, manufacturing, or global technology industries.
• Experience creating high-level corporate documents, including reports, policies, and executive presentations.
