Sr. Staff Product Manager (HT/NGS)

Responsibilities

• Lead product management for novel product development at the system level, covering end-to-end workflow solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure system delivery and compatibility across product lines.
• Establish product and system-level requirements based on market research, voice of customer, and business analytics.
• Develop business cases to support decision-making for new product requirements, pricing, and sales forecasting.
• Partner with Product Marketing to develop value propositions, messaging, and launch collateral.
• Build relationships with key customers, thought leaders, and industry influencers to identify emerging market trends.
• Define growth areas for application enablement and market expansion strategies.

Requirements

• 12+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Deep expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, such as SBS.
• Proven track record of managing major product lines, specifically capital equipment.
• Demonstrated success in leading the commercial launch of new products.
• Experience developing system requirements involving both hardware and software.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive data-driven decisions.
• Experience working closely with R&D to guide product-market fit and design inputs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant scientific or technical field.
• Prior experience in market development.
• Experience developing product strategies and long-term roadmaps in collaborative environments.
• Strong public speaking and executive-level presentation skills.
