Sr. Staff Engineer – Wearable Platform Product Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software execution, systemic issue resolution, and product delivery for the Wearable Platform team.
• Drive the commercialization of software for wearable products, including smartwatches, fitness trackers, and kids' watches.
• Ensure product deliverables are competitive regarding functionality, stability, power consumption, and performance.
• Collaborate with geographically distributed core and execution teams across multiple time zones.
• Partner with external customers and partners to ensure seamless software integration and timely issue resolution.
• Lead HLOS Image and Keystone activities.
• Manage and lead a team of product and triage engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 15+ years of extensive experience in Linux/Android integration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Android Frameworks, Kernel, and Wear OS.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Deep understanding of SoC systems, including bring-up and related concepts.
• Proven experience across the full software development life cycle (design, implementation, deployment, and support).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex software and system issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for global team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Wear OS is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Product KPIs and performance optimization.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
